Stewart W. Taylor died October 26, 1996, at Provo, Utah.
Born December 8, 1915, at Abraham, Utah, to James Herbert and Marie Pearson Taylor. Married Mary Ann Leavitt September 29, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He attended Abraham Elementary and graduated from Hinckley High School. Lifetime Millard County resident. Owned and operated "Oak City Cash Store," "Taylor's Service" and "Maverick" gas stations. Later built and operated "Taylor's Training Stables" with son Larry. Horses were his second love after his wife and family. Active member LDS Church serving in many positions. Delta 5th Ward High Priest Group secretary.
Survived by wife of Delta; son and daughters, Patricia (J.B.) Lovell, Oak City; Bonnie (Dennis) Alsup, Sandy; Darlene (Randy) Kay, Richard (Missy) Taylor, both West Jordan; Ellen (Kirk) Lewis, Hinckley; Beverly (Ron) Day, Fillmore; daughter-in-law, Virginia, Sandy; 27 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Lionel Taylor, Gus Taylor, Phebe Bushnell, all of Delta.
Preceded in death by a son, Larry S.; brothers, Follet and Cleve.
Funeral services Wednesday, October 30, 1996, at 11 a.m. in the Delta 5th LDS Ward, 95 North Center. Friends may call on Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center, Delta, and 10-10:45 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Burial, Delta Cemetery at 2 p.m.
