Prep football's Tiebreaker Tuesday will narrow the Class 5A field to 16 teams with first round action slated for Friday and Saturday (Dates and times were still pending at press time).
West Jordan will square off with Granger Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to break a tie for the final postseason berth in Region 3. The game will be played at Kearns.At the same time at Jordan High, Mountain View and Alta will battle for Region 4's final invitation. The Hawks set up the contest by defeating the Bruins 17-7 last Friday.
"You win, you keep going," Alta coach Mitch Lunak told the Deseret News. "We have another one Tuesday and they'll be ready. But I'm sure we'll be ready too."
A tiebreaker make take place in Region 5 with Sky View facing Ben Lomond. However, the Scots need to defeat Ogden Monday to force the issue.
