Bernice Nichols Germer passed away October 25, 1996 at the Logan Regional Hospital.

Born Feb. 25, 1912, in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of George Washington Nichols, Jr., and Minnie Jeanette Yearsley Nichols.She married Jack Germer on March 25, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died Feb. 17, 1987. She graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, and attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. Before her marriage, she worked in the office of an attorney in Brigham City, in the offices of the Box Elder County Treasurer and Recorder. She also worked for Baron Woolen Mills. She was a member of the Riverview Ward of the LDS Church where she served as a teacher and counselor in the Primary, secretary and teacher in MIA, and secretary and visiting teacher in Relief Society.

She is survived by one son and three daughters: J. Scott (Joyce) Germer, Deweyville; Mrs. Derrill (Colleen) Richards, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Kent (Deanne) Hughes, Garland; and Mrs. James (Bonnie) Fronk, Ogden; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Dell Nichols, Brigham City; Mrs. Clark (Eloise) Baron, Brigham City; Verna Nichols, Brigham City; and Mrs. Kay (June) Iverson, Bear River City. She was preceded in death by one brother, Delos Nichols, two sisters, Mae Nichols and Bonita Price, and one granddaughter, Debbie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct., 30th at noon at the Deweyville-Riverview Ward Chapel, with Bishop Richard E. Woodworth officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 29th from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home and on Wednesday, Oct. 30th from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 No. 100 East, Tremonton. Interment in the Deweyville Cemetery.
