Martin Eugene Johnson, age 66, returned to his Heavenly Father October 26, 1996.
Born March 10, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lyman Nephi and Lela Blumenthal Johnson. He married Cheryldene Vaughan of Malad, Idaho on April 2, 1956 at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Martin was a school teacher at Wasatch and Highland Park Elementary schools for 32 years. He loved golfing, the U of U athletics and traveling with his family.He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all.
Survived by his wife; two sons and one daughter, Michael, Salt Lake; Robert M., Salt Lake; Jill J. Cropper (Brian), Walnut Creek, Calif.; three brothers, Harold (Dorothy), Salt Lake; Raymond K. (Virginia), Salt Lake; James, Orem; one sister, Jenene Barker (Conway), Santaquin, Utah.
Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Junior.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 1996, at 12 noon at the Grandview First Ward, 2930 South 2000 East. Friends may call Tuesday evening, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the churchWednesday for one hour prior to the services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
