A West Valley man survived two frigid nights under makeshift shelters of pine boughs over the weekend after he became lost while deer hunting.

Russell Glather, 35, was found Sunday afternoon by rescuers from Utah County near Fourth Water in the vicinity of Strawberry Reservoir. Glather was transported to Mountain View Hospital in Payson, where he was treated for frostbite to his left hand and both feet and later released.Utah County Sheriff's Lt. Dick Casto said Glather was clothed in a light jacket, denim jeans and boots. His clothing was wet and frozen to his body.

Glather became separated from his hunting partner Friday at noon. Heavy snow and winds hampered rescuers' efforts Friday and Saturday.
