Lanona Elizabeth Kenney, age 89, died October 22, 1996 in Walnut Creek, California.
Born July 8, 1907 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to John Joseph and Vada Davis Haskins. Married Lester Eugene Kenney. He died February 1, 1955. Lanona worked at Sears for 23 years where she managed their cosmetic department. In 1967, she moved to Concord, California to be closer to her family. Lanona especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Member of the LDS Church.Survived by a daughter, Helen Roberts, Walnut Creek, Calif.; a son, Raymond Kenney, Salt Lake City; brothers, Fred Haskins, Salt Lake City; and Leo Haskins, Edmonds, Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 30, 1 p.m., at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
