Dan Richard Seely, 40, died on October 26, 1996 in Anchorage, Alaska.

He was born November 11, 1955 in Fruita, Colorado, a son of Norman Richard and Dixie Cottrell Seely. He married Deborah S. Walters, October 28, 1995 in Anchorage. He was a member of the LDS Church, and served an LDS Mission in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. Dan died in the line of duty, doing what he loved to do. He was a 10 year veteran of the Anchorage Police Dept.He is survived by wife; his parents, of Green River; two sisters, Sheree Gilley of Florida; and Lorraine Martin of Colorado; one brother, David Seely, of Colorado; grandfather, Lorin Milton, of Wyoming; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 31, 1996 at noon in the Green River LDS Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary of Price.
