Gray Weeks, age 80, passed away peacefully Oct. 26, 1996 after fighting valiantly to overcome the disabling effects of a stroke in 1994.

He was born September 22, 1916 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the son of Clarence H. and Virginia Gray Weeks. He married Frances Margaret Higbee June 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City. She died January 21, 1968.He served his country in the Army for 12 years which included World War II in the South Pacific as a Technical Sergeant. He started his own trucking business in 1946 and retired in 1980. He loved horses, hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Sue) Weeks, Salt Lake; Kaye (Doug) Wyler, Diamond Bar, Calif; Ginger (Steven) Monsen, Sandy; Kenneth (Sue) Weeks, Sandy; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson; brothers, Virgil, Bakersfield, Calif.; Dick, Clearfield; and sister, Phyllis Richins, Salt Lake. He was also preceded in death by brother, Paul, and granddaughter, Wendy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, at 2 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
