I would like to chime in with others who have written eloquent arguments for why we can't re-elect Bill Orton. They are right - a vote for Orton is a vote for President Clinton. We already know that Clinton hates Utah. However, this election has much greater consequences than what happens to Utah. If Clinton and the Democrats get control of Congress, there will be no stopping Bill and Hillary and their left-wing agenda.
Every seat in Congress counts. If we re-elect Orton, we will be increasing the Democratic seats in the House, which could give Clinton a majority. If this happens, the whole balance of power will shift and Clinton will again pursue the liberal agenda he followed before the Republicans took over in 1992.It doesn't matter how independent Orton claims to be. He is a Democrat. If he were really independent, he would run as an Independent. If re-elected he will help the Democrats gain control. Voters, please don't allow this to happen. We must elect Chris Cannon to send a message that we won't support Clinton' s liberal agenda.
