Women veterans are invited to "Salute to Women Veterans Day" activities Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Salt Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 500 Foothill Drive.
An open house is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Building 8 in the Multipurpose Center. A light brunch will be served at 10, followed by a presentation, "Helping You Cope With the Skeletons in Your Closet," in the auditorium of Building 9.A reception, exhibits and health fair, which will include free flu shots, blood pressure screening and women's health information booths, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Multipurpose Center.
Women's clinic personnel will be available to respond to health questions and veteran eligibility matters. Representatives from Job Service, Weber State University and the Small-Business Administration will also attend. Call Stephanie Zimmer at the medical center, 582-1565, for more information.
