Angeline DeJel Davis, 62, passed quietly away on October 29,1996 after a courageous battle with emphysema.
Pinky was born July 9, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Nicholas and Janie Reit DeJel. She graduated from East High and attended the University of Utah. W.A.C. 1954 stationed in Fort McPherson Georgia. Married April 22, 1955, later divorced. She worked for Insurance Services Office in Salt Lake and also in the San Francisco office and retired in 1989 after 30 years. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and family. We will miss her.Survived by her children, Cristine D. Rasmussen (Lyle), Kathy A. Balyeat (Dennis), Steven P. Davis (Peggy); sisters, Corrie Painter, JoAnn Morse (Gerald); brother, Hank DeJel (Dianne); nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Roy.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 am, Friday, November 1, 1996 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1700 East 9800 South. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 1996 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive. There will be a viewing prior to the Vigil Service from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff, doctors and respiratory therapy at St. Mark's Hospital for all the excellent care and support this past year. Special thanks to Wajiha for her loving care.
