In its Oct. 29 meeting, the County Commission:

- Held a public hearing on a proposal to vacate portions of the Ironton subdivision in Provo as well as five dedicated county roads near the subdivision. After the public hearing, the commission voted to vacate the portions of property in question except two roads. County officials agreed to continue negotiations with private property owners regarding the status of the two roads, named Pine and Columbia.

- Set a public hearing for Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. on the proposal to amend the Utah County zoning ordinance. Proposed changes include adding provisions for manufactured homes in agriculture, mining and grazing and other zones; and creating a new A-40 zone (agricultural zone with minimum lot size of 40 acres).

- Adopted a tentative county budget for 1997. Also, set a public hearing regarding the adoption of the budget for Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.
