S.L. TO ALLOW 2 RENEWALS BY TELEPHONE

Salt Lake City Public Library patrons may renew books and other materials twice on the telephone. But telephone renewals are not permitted at Murray Library.

In the Salt Lake City system, materials may not be renewed by phone or in person if a hold has been placed on items. The procedure seems to be working well in the city system, said Colleen McLaughlin, community relations manager."We are not considering any changes" in the Murray renewal policy. "Items have to be renewed in person," said Dan Barr, Murray Library director.
