Earl Burdett Eatchel, 79, passed away October 29, 1996, following a courageous battle with cancer. He went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 4,1917 in Murray, Utah, to George Andrew and Ella Vilate Jensen Eatchel. Married Elizabeth Olive Webb, February 8, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Attended Murray Schools. Retired from J.S. Lee & Sons Well Drilling Co. Member of Christ Lutheran Church and was strengthened by his faith in Christ. He enjoyed family activities, fishing, camping and wood crafts. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend.Survived by his wife of 56 years, his three children and their spouses, Frances K.(Jerry) Garrett, Erlene E. (C.W.) Brown, and Thomas E. (Colleen) Eatchel, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 1, 1996, 12 noon at Christ Lutheran Church, 5600 South 240 East, Murray, Utah. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. Earl requested in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Christ Lutheran School, 5600 South 240 East, Murray, Utah.
