Wednesday night, the Devils outshot the New York Rangers 54-23, yet came up on the short end of a 6-1 decision. The night before, they outshot the Boston Bruins 48-33, but lost 5-2.The Rangers opened had a 4-0 lead on two goals by Brian Leetch and one apiece by Darren Langdon and Daniel Goneau.
