Nena Jewel Denwalt, 72, died October 2, 1996 at her home in Orem, Utah.
Born July 21, 1924 in Menan, Idaho to William Arthur and Lenah Ethel Jones Casper. Married Ben Fred Haskins in San Diego, Calif. on Jan. 22, 1943. He died Nov. 6, 1971. Married Wilbert P. Denwalt in Denton, Tex. on Oct. 2, 1973. He died Feb. 22, 1988.Nena was a retired business owner of a highway construction company when she moved to Orem in 1988. She volunteered her time and services in the Orem Elementary and Adult Education programs. She was an active member of the LDS Church and has served as a teacher, and in the presidency, and in all the auxiliary organizations. She has served in the Provo and Dallas Temples.
Survived by four daughters and one son, Anita Lindsay (Wayne), Las Vegas, Nev.; Barbara McBride, Tulsa, Okla.; Darrell Haskins (Deborah), Denton, Tex.; Vicki Phelps (Ron), Yukon, Okla.; Diana Loveless (Steve), Orem, Utah; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Dee Casper, Willard Casper, Jay Casper, Emma Nygren and Ida Devereaux. Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Carrie Tarwater and Brent Freeze; two sisters, Vie Nash and Ruby Thueson.
Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996, at 12 noon in the Orem Park 4th Ward Chapel, 50 So. 750 West, Orem, where friends may call from
10-11:30 a.m. Interment, Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
