MEN'S TENNIS: Manuel Calvo led BYU at the Tulsa Invitational, winning three of the four matches he played.
After losing to an SMU opponent earlier in singles action, Calvo came back to defeat Colorado's Martel Bufford in three sets, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2.
BYU played well in doubles, winning four of six matches. Calvo joined up with teammate Boris Bosnjakovic to win doubles matches against SMU (8-6) and Colorado (8-2). The doubles team of Brad McIntosh and Jason Hardin pulled out an 8-6 win over SMU, while the duo of Kris Rosander and Roman Meyerhans defeated their Colorado opponents 8-4.
The tournament concludes today.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: Shauna Rohbock's two goals helped BYU's women's soccer team clinch its 10th victory of the season, this time over North Texas in Dallas on Friday afternoon.
The overtime 4-3 win gives the Cougars a perfect 10-0 record this year.
With North Texas leading 2-0 in the second half, Maren Hendershot scored BYU's first goal, with Rohbock following late to knot the score at 2-all.
Karen Robbins and Rohbock scored each in the overtime.
BYU will stay in Texas for a game today at Texas Christian.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Utah women's soccer team improved its season record to 9-2 after easily defeating Portland State 4-0.
Dominique Barcellona claimed two of the goals, bringing her season total to seven. Jacki Doman added an assist and another goal, making the tally 14. Tara McNiel supplied the fourth goal for the Utes, bringing her total to three.
The next game for the Utes is Sunday at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: TCU scored a pair of goals in each half of action Friday afternoon to down Utah State 4-2 in Fort Worth, Texas. Both Aggie goals were scored by Chrissie Perrow, the first coming only :24 into the match.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: The host Aggies swept a three-game match Friday afternoon from North Texas, winning 15-10, 15-16, 15-8 at the Smith Spectrum in Logan. Niki Conner led USU - now 5-13 overall - with 10 kills, while Mindi Jackson had five blocks.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Northern Arizona swept a three-game match from host Weber State 15-7, 15-9, 15-8 Friday night. NAU improves to 9-8 overall and 4-2 in Big Sky action; Weber drops to 1-17 and 1-4.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Salt Lake Community College took a three-game match from host College of Eastern Utah 15-7, 15-8, 15-7 Friday night in Price.
