JUDGE TO RETIRE AFTER SERVING 6 YEARS IN THE JUSTICE COURT

Alyse Sigman is stepping down after serving six years as a Utah County Justice Court judge.

Sigman says she will retire within the next few weeks to travel and spend more time with her 22 grand-children.Sigman took the bench in February 1989 after working as a clerk in Orem Circuit Court.

"Sigman is wise and cares for the individual. She has never been too busy to give the individual the benefit of the doubt," said County Commissioner David J. Gardner.

"While some may not have liked the outcome, no one can say that they were not treated fairly. The judge will be missed by all of us."

Sigman will be replaced by Scott J. Cullimore.
