SHARE ELKHORN RESORT GETS NEW OWNER

Elkhorn Resort, Sun Valley's second largest resort, has been sold to Buena Vista Golf Properties Inc., a joint venture of Hanover Capital Holdings Corp., Greenwich, Conn., and Buena Vista Hospitality Group, Tampa, Fla.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Businessman Milt Koult, who owned the resort for 12 years, decided to pursue other personal and businesses interests.The sale includes a 132-room hotel, 7,400 square-feet of conference and meeting facilities, five restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, a retail plaza and a four undeveloped acres nearby. The resort also manages a number of con-do-min-iums that surround the village.

Mike Frost, chief executive officer of Buena Vista Golf Properties, said the new owners will spend several million to renovate guest rooms, meeting space, the lobby lounge, retail plaza and restaurants. They also anticipated making improvements on the golf course, the telephone systems and elevators.

The renovation will begin shortly and continue through next summer.
