SHARE GUILD TO HONOR 2 FOR ASSISTANCE IN BUYING PIANO

The Utah Symphony Guild will honor Gerald "Skip" Daynes of Daynes Music and Richard Madsen of ZCMI for their help in the guild's purchase of a new Steinway grand piano for Abravanel Hall.

The presentation to the two local business leaders will take place at a special symphony-guild luncheon, "Hats Off to Fashion," Wednesday, Nov. 13, at noon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Reservations, at $15, may be made by calling 942-2604.The piano, which will be officially inaugurated by Grant Johannesen in his concerts with the orchestra Jan. 10 and 11, was hand-picked by Daynes, Johannesen and guild president Sherry Poulson at the Steinway showroom in New York.

In addition, Daynes and Daynes Music and Madsen and ZCMI donated funds toward the instrument's purchase. They will be presented with framed keys of appreciation.

To further help pay for the piano, individual framed keys are being sold for $500. Each is bears Johannesen's autograph and the Steinway insignia. For information call 533-5626.
