Two 18-year-old men have been charged in the burglary and damage of a Sugar House LDS chapel.

According to 3rd District Court documents, on Sept. 24 the men crawled into a church at 1455 E. Emerson Ave (1490 South) through an open window at the rear of the building. Once inside, they found two fire extinguishers and began to spray each other in the auditorium. The men sprayed several areas of the building, the documents say. They also broke into a locked office and used a knife to cut the electrical cords for computer and telephone equipment.

The men left the church with the fire extinguishers, which were located at the site of a school burglary, the documents say. The damage to the church is estimated at about $1,360.
