The City Council has unanimously adopted a street capital facilities plan (city road plan), another step in the process of implementing its first-ever traffic impact fee.

The next step is for an impact fee analysis, to be sure the proposed fee meets the requirements of state law governing such matters. Estimated cost of the study is $60,000 and engineering companies will be invited to bid on the project. The city also plans to hold public hearings on the proposed fee, which would target new development and make its impact on traffic.
