A man inspects what's left of his home in Nazca Wednesday after an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale struck southern Peru Tuesday. At least eight people were killed and more than 500 injured by the powerful temblor. Six of the deaths occurred in Nazca, 290 miles south of the capital, Lima. The city experienced at least 200 after-shocks, including one late Tuesday that measured 4.2. The army and police flew tents, blankets and food to Nazca after the quake left 25,000 houses uninhabitable.
