Silvin G. Jessop, 70, died November 13, 1996 of a heart attack in Salt Lake City.
He was born October 7, 1926 in Millville, a son of Gerald E. and Alice Mae Jessop. He graduated from South Cache High School. On March 13, 1955, Silvin married Lillian Shire in Elko, Nevada. He was a self-employed cement contractor in the Salt Lake area for many years.Dad enjoyed fishing and hunting with his children, but his true passion was growing roses, flowers and caring for his beautiful yard.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; son, Clyde Jessop, Draper; daughter, Sandra Vrieze, Salt Lake City; sons, Michael Bentley, Bluffdale; Larry (Marsha) Bentley, Danny Bentley all of Salt Lake City; sister, Shirley Mae (Ellis) Marshall, North Carolina; Colleen Jessop, Logan; Darnell (Lee) Dalton, Millville; brothers, Thomas Deloy Jessop, Lowell Lamar Jessop, both of Brigham City; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Max Holt Jessop and a sister, Geraldine Jessop.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, November 18, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
