SHARE CUT A CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE FISHLAKE FOREST

Families can share the adventure of cutting their own Christmas tree in the Fishlake National Forest.

Personal permits for trees up to 8 feet cost $5 each. Taller trees may be cut with a slight additional charge based on the height.Officials emphasized that the trees may not be resold. Most species may be cut anywhere on the forest except in the Fish Lake/Johnson Valley Recreation Area. Permits are available at ranger district offices and at some private businesses.

Ranger offices are located in Richfield, Loa, Fillmore and Beaver. They are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
