SHARE CINCINNATI HOLDS TOP SPOT IN AP POLL

Cincinnati, which beat Western Carolina 99-72 in its first game as a top-ranked team in 34 years, held the No. 1 spot in The Associated Press poll with 49 first-place votes and 1,673 points.

Kansas remained No. 2 with 15 No. 1 votes and 1,608 points, 24 more than No. 3 Wake Forest, which had three first-place votes. Utah was fourth and received the other first-place vote, followed by Villanova, Duke, Michigan, Kentucky, Iowa State and Clemson.
