BYU PLAYERS SHORT ON RESPECT

SHARE BYU PLAYERS SHORT ON RESPECT

The Senior Friends of the Layton chapter had a fall tour planned and a tour bus rented for a trip to the Wellsville Canyon and a luncheon planned at beautiful Sherwood Hills Resort.

It was a beautiful day Oct. 4, and the colors of the many trees, shrubs and bushes was inspiring.Sherwood Hills Resort has certainly improved over the past 18 years as the developers had to trade their environment for cramped quarters with less freedom for the next many years in confinement.

There had been many improvements made, not the least a cute foyer with comfortable furniture, etc. However, they were occupied by members of BYU football team, who showed no respect for the seniors by offering them their seats. None of the seniors complained and left to wait outside as the luncheon was scheduled for a half-hour later.

I wonder if it was possibly mistaken identity on the part of the team that sometime in the future they will be in the same boat and must wonder why no more respect is shown, as they will dream of the days of yore when only then was everything rosy but only for a short time, and respect should have been improved, but will it be?
