Peer Konnerup Kristensen, born January 30, 1927 in Borglum, Denmark, died November 4, 1996.
"The paper says our father died, but we know that he lives. We'll see him each time one of his daughters squares her shoulders to accept responsibility; each time his children laugh at their discouragements and refuse to give up. We'll see him in this daughter's compassion, in that daughter's honesty. Our father lives, and his lessons have changed our eternities."Peer immigrated to the United states as a young man and was proud of his citizenship. He was an active member of the LDS Church and spent his life in service to his family and his fellow man. He has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Bountiful; three daughters, Connie (Brad) Anderson; Heidi and Kimberly, and grandchildren, Jacob and Albert; five sisters, Ruth (Einar) Jensen, Elna Kristensen, Doris (Gary) Andersen, Karen (George) Mickelsen, Maria (Tagg) Hundrup two brothers, Poul Erik (Kathy) Kristensen, and Richard (Barbara) Kristensen.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 8, 1996 at 12 noon, in the Orchard 12th Ward Chapel, 3707 So. 800 West, Bountiful, with Bishop Chris Beynon officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lakeview Memorial Estates Mortuary, 1640 E. Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
