Babe Humphrey and his Bar J Wranglers are calling it the "Wyoming Wind" tour; partly because that's the name of their new album and partly because the singers tend to blow into town and blow audiences away.
Last year the group members came down from their Jackson Hole headquarters to test the Utah market. They did so well that they're back again with even more whistle stops. On Friday, Nov. 15, the Wranglers will be at the Browning Center on the Weber State University campus in Ogden at 7 p.m., then on to the Salt Lake Community College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. They'll be at Oak Canyon Junior High on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m., then it's on to points south, with a concert at the Dixie Center in St. George at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
"We're in Tucson for a good deal of the winter," says Humphrey. "It's the first winter we've really gotten out."
The Bar J boys work out of the popular Bar J Chuckwagon in Jackson. Their show is upbeat, funny and full of good-time cowboy music - all good antidotes in an election year.
Tickets for the show are $10 and available at R.C. Willey stores.
