An Idaho boy was killed on I-15 near Plymouth Thursday after the van his mother was driving collided with a Utah Highway Department snowplow.

Killed was:Andrew Hulse, 4, Pocatello.

Hulse and his mother, Jody Ann Hulse, 33, were taken by ambulance to Bear River Hospital in Tremonton. Hulse died of torso injuries.

Jody Ann Hulse was then flown in a medical helicopter to LDS Hospital. She was in the hospital's intensive care unit Friday with neck, torso and knee injuries.

According to a Box Elder County Sheriff's Department report, heavy fog at the time of the crash made visibility very poor.

The report said a snowplow turned from the northbound lane of I-15, traveled through the median at a crossover, then turned into the southbound lane.

The snowplow was heading south when the Hulse vehicle crashed into its rear.
