E. Frieda Madrian-Ranglack, age 87, passed away February 11, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born January 22, 1909 in Moholz, Germany, to Reinhold Arlt and Ernestine Schober. Married Herbert Madrian, June 17, 1934. He died in 1944. Married Werner H. Ranglack, January 22, 1948; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1988. Immigrated to Utah in 1960. Devoted member of the LDS Church. Held many callings in the church in Germany, including mission Relief Society secretary for ten years. Member of German Harmonie Chorus, since 1961, as well as member of the German Ward Choir.Survivors include: son, Jost E. Madrian (Maureen), Salt Lake City; daughter, Karin E. Gill (David), Taylorsville; (her son, York preceded her in death in 1975); 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews in Germany. She had two brothers and three sisters who preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 16, 1996 at 1 p.m. at the German-Speaking LDS Ward, 630 East 100 South. Friends may call Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Funeral Home, 260 East South Temple and at the ward on Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to the services. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
