SHARE FIRE AT INDUSTRIAL BUILDING HOLDS UP TRAFFIC IN W.V.

Fire tore through an unfinished industrial building Thursday - stalling area traffic and sending a column of black smoke across the Oquirrh Mountains' soupy skyline.

More than 50 firefighters responded to the three-alarm blaze at 5600 West and 2200 South about 8:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call that flames had erupted inside the large concrete structure reportedly being built by Kenworth Trucking.Crews had the fire under control about 40 minutes later. The cause of the blaze was not known at press time.
