Auditions have been scheduled for these stage productions:

- "DAMN YANKEES," being directed by Ron Jewett for the Pages Lane Theatre, 282 E. Pages Lane, Centerville.

Jewett is looking for a baseball team . . . along with other singers and dancers 18 and older for the recently revived Broadway hit.

All roles are open. Auditions will be held at the theater on Saturday, Feb. 17, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Come prepared to sing one song and learn a short dance routine. An accompanist will be provided.

The show is scheduled to run April 12-May 25. For further information, call 298-1302.

- "CELEBRATING UTAH: OUR UNSPOKEN SONG," a slightly revamped version of last season's Utah Statehood centennial production at Promised Valley Playhouse, on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at the playhouse, 132 S. State.

Friday's session is an open audition. All roles are open. Performers of various ethnic backgrounds are invited. The show requires eight men and 10 women actors, singers and dancers, from 15 to 70 years of age. Come prepared to sing 16 bars from two contrasting songs. Bring your own music. An accompanist or tape recorder will be provided. There may also be cold readings from the script.

The auditions on Saturday are for dancers only. Come prepared to learn a short dance combination.

Callbacks are scheduled for March 2 at noon.

- WESTMINSTER PLAYERS' spring one-act play festival on Sunday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday, March 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts, 1250 E. 1700 South. More than 35 roles are available in the 10 student-directed plays, scheduled to be performed April 11-13.

- "THE FOREIGNER," on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Room 101 of the University of Utah's Performing Arts Building (just west of the campus book store), for the Helper Intermountain Theatre company's touring production of Larry Shue's comedy.

There are roles for five males and two females, all in their 20s to 50s (or older for the women). Sign up for an audition time slot on the board posted in Room 206 of the same building.

There will be cold readings from the script.

Rehearsals will begin June 27, and the production is scheduled to run from July 18 through Aug. 12. Non-Equity actors are invited to audition for all roles. Equity actors will be seen for the roles of Charlie and Betty.

All nonprofessional actors chosen will be paid $125 per week plus housing for rehearsals and during the run. Equity players would work under a "special appearance agreement, level two" plus housing.
