Janet Jakeman Parry, 54, of West Jordan, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 19, 1996.
She was born October 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Glen and Marie Erickson Jakeman. She grew up in several small communities in the state and graduated from Granger High School. She married Earl D. Parry on November 29, 1957 in Orem, Utah. She enjoyed ceramic classes and participated in aerobics with many of her friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a great love for all her grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church living in the West Jordan Heritage First Ward.She is survived by her husband of West Jordan; one daughter and two sons: Glenna (Brian) Ehrhart, Russell J. Parry, both of Kearns; John (Charrie) E. Parry, Las Vegas, Nevada; and ten grandchildren. Additional survivors include her brother, Eric Jakeman, Layton. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Amy Lee Holbrook.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Heritage First Ward Chapel, 7650 South 3200 West, West Jordan and at the mortuary one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
