A Tuesday night collision in northeast American Fork killed one woman and critically injured a teenage girl and her infant son.

Killed in the accident was:Penny Snedecor, 18, American Fork.

A 16-year-old girl, whose name was not released, was listed in critical condition Thursday morning in the intensive-care unit at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. The teen girl's 4-month-old son was listed in critical condition at Primary Children's Med-i-cal Center.

An American Fork police spokes-woman said Snedecor was stopped on Pacific Drive at the intersection of U.S. 89 at about 6:45 p.m. and pulled in front of a car northbound on U.S. 89. The northbound car struck Snedecor's car broadside on the driver's door, knocking Snedecor's car into the back of a UTA bus.

Snedecor was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at American Fork Hospital. The teen passenger and infant were transported by medical helicopter to hospitals in Salt Lake City. No one in the bus or the other car suffered injuries. Traffic investigators said no passengers in Snedecor's car were wearing seat restraints.
