Joe E. Gallegos, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on February 20, 1996 in Murray.

Born in San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico on November 18, 1920 to Florentino and Ramonacita Gallegos. Married Dorothy Romero September 15, 1947.He was a veteran of World War II serving honorably with the 729th Railway Operations Battalion. Golden Eagle member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corp. after 42 years of service as a train engineer. Enjoyed fishing, gardening, horses and loved being with his family.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Mona (Byron) Case; Margaret (Tommy) Higginson, MaryAnn (Richard) Davis, Becky (Randy) Webster, Carma (Robert) Owen; 14 grandchildren; sister, Josie Vigil; brother and sister-in-law, Juan and Josie Gallegos; and many nieces and nephews.

Thank you, Daddy, for always taking care of us. We will miss you and our love will be with you forever.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 1996 at 1 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, where friends may call on Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Park. Funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary at Lake Hills.
