SHARE DEATH: RUBY VOORHEES OLSEN

Ruby Voorhees Olsen, 77, passed away February 22, 1996, after many years of suffering with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born October 29, 1918, in Manti, Utah the daughter of Henry and Aileen Madsen Voorhees. She married O. Staker Olsen in the Manti LDS Temple September 27, 1939. They lived in Ogden for many years, and for the last 29 years have made their home in Holladay.She traveled extensively with her husband in Europe and the islands of the Pacific. She especially loved Hawaii and considered it to be her paradise. She was an active and faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many responsible positions.

Survived by her husband; three daughters and one son: Patricia (Martin) Conover, Kathleen (Gordon) Black, Karen (Rick) Jensen and Scott (Mary Jane) Olsen; five brothers and one sister. She was the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses' aides, both past and present, and all of the employees at the Willow Wood Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr., Holladay. Friends and family may call at the mortuary, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. or one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Holladay Memorial Park Cemetery, Holladay, Utah.
