Elmo Hardy, 89, died February 21, 1996.

He was born December 2, 1906 in Vernal, Utah to Charles A. Hardy and Stella Colton. Married Mary Jane Wenward, October 3, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a rancher and worked for the Forest Service, and owned a motel. Member of the 9th Ward LDS Church, serving as a High Priest. We love you and miss you Dad.Survived by wife, Mary Jane Hardy, of Vernal; two daughters: Mrs. Loma Simper, Vernal; Mrs. Norman (Violet) Hancock, of St. George; a son, Clayton and Darlene Hardy, Rock Springs, Wyoming; three brothers: Blaine Hardy, Yakima, Wash.; Lawrence Hardy, of Salt Lake City; Harold C. Hardy, Layton, Utah; two sisters, Sarah Richardson, Vernal; Arlene Heaton, Provo, Utah; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services Monday, February 26, 1996, 11 a.m., Vernal 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 250 North 200 West. Friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary, and Monday 10-11 a.m. at the ward chapel. Burial, Vernal Memorial Park.
