Elbert Vlaardingerbroek, 71, passed away February 22, 1996 from a long battle with cancer.
Born January 26, 1925, The Hague Netherlands (Holland), son of Paulus Vlaardingerbroek and Jeanetje Heining Vlaardingerbroek. Married Verona Christensen, January 20, 1951 in Salt Lake City.He received his education in Holland and also vocational school as a fine machinist. He worked as an instrument mechanic for the Utah Air National Guard for 30 years and also repaired watches and clocks. He loved to travel with his wife mostly in Mexico.
Survived by his wife, sons and daughter: Paul (Chris), Nancy (Dale Janney), Salt Lake; Austin (Rachel), Layton; six grandchildren, Bert Heining (uncle), Salt Lake; Paul (brother), and Lies (sister), Holland; and Betts (sister), Australia.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 11 a.m. and a viewing one hour prior at Colonial Mortuary, 2128 South State St., Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Monday, February 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 So. Redwood Rd., S.L.C., Utah.
