Harold Lee Sturgill passed away February 22, 1996 following a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

He was born April 22, 1921 in Salt Lake City to Herbert Leland and Agnes Greenway Sturgill. He married Patricia Gust May 15, 1940 in Salt Lake City.He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He served as vice commander of the American Legion in Bingham Canyon. He worked for 42 years at Kennecott and retired in 1982 as an electrical foreman. He loved golfing, woodworking and gardening.

Harold is survived by his wife, Pat, Kearns; three sons: Lee (Nan), Salt Lake City; Drake (JoAnne), West Valley City; Kelly, Kirkland, Washington; and a daughter, Mishele (Allen) Mauney, Olympia, Washington. He leaves eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. He also leaves a sister, Donna Long, Squim, Washington.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Garden Terrace for their gentle care, and a special thanks to cousin, Craig Davis.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4290 West 5415 South, Kearns, on March 2, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Harold's name to Trinity United Methodist Church, or to the American Cancer Society.
