LIBRARIES OFFERING TAX ASSISTANCE

SHARE LIBRARIES OFFERING TAX ASSISTANCE

Volunteer tax assistance, sponsored by Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), will be provided at several Salt Lake County libraries through mid-April.

Those interested in receiving free aid should bring last year's tax returns, receipts and other pertinent documents. Tax forms will be available at all libraries.Here's the libraries, times and dates for assistance by VITA: Kearns Library, 6-8:30 p.m. through Wednesday, April 10; Magna Library, 6-8:30 p.m. through Wednesday, April 10; Smith Library, 5:30-7:30 p.m. through Thursday, April 11; West Jordan Library, 6-8:30 p.m. through Tuesday, April 16; and West Valley Library, 6:30-8:30 p.m., through Wednesday, April 10.

Libraries where AARP assistance will be available: East Mill Creek Library, noon to 5 p.m. through Tuesday, April 9; Holladay Library, 1-4 p.m. through Thursday, April 11; Hunter Library, 1-4 p.m. through Wednesday, April 10.

Also, Kearns Library, 1-4 p.m. through Wednesday, April 11; South Salt Lake Library, 1-4 p.m. through Tuesday, April 10; West Jordan Library, 1-4 p.m. through Thursday, April 11; and Whitmore Library, 1-4 p.m. through Thursday, April 11.
