GIVE UTAH TAXPAYERS A FULL REFUND

SHARE GIVE UTAH TAXPAYERS A FULL REFUND

Some of the things that are going on in the Utah Legislature are very unsatisfactory. Especially consideration of the light-rail system, which was refused by the citizens of Utah in a popular vote.

Second, I believe that any individual who was overcharged $500 on a product would not be satisfied if when he went to the merchant he was offered a refund of $100, or 20 percent of what he had overpaid. Yet our politicians think we all should be elated that they are going to give us 20 percent of what they have overcharged us in taxes. They are hustling around trying to find ways to spend this great "windfall." They have continued to overtax us, and then when this surplus shows up on the books they think it is theirs to spend. My message to the Legislature is this. It isn't your money. Give it back to the people who earned it. Government is a parasite, it produces no wealth. It only feeds off of those who do. Don't search for new and wonderful ways to spend our money, give it back, and stop overtaxing us.
