MEN'S TENNIS: Brigham Young University's men's tennis team is looking to improve its 5-4 record this week against rivals Utah State and the University of Utah.

The Cougars have won two of their three home matches this year, defeating Weber State 7-0 and San Diego State 5-2.

The match against Utah State will begin at 5 p.m. Feb. 29 on the indoor courts at BYU.

BASEBALL: Preseason division favorites BYU and New Mexico begin league baseball play this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Cougars, 5-5, picked to win the Eastern Division of the Western Athletic Conference have a 2 p.m. game on Friday with the New Mexico. The Lobos, 5-9, continue to host BYU on Saturday in a noon doubleheader.

The first game each day will be broadcast live over KSRR Radio (1400 AM) with Brent Norton and Raeldon Palmer calling the action. These are the first broadcasts of the season.

Weber State

TRACK & FIELD: Weber State's women's and men's indoor track and field teams, journey northward to Bozeman, Montana, for this weekend's 1996 Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Montana State University is serving as the host school for the first time since the league began indoor championships in 1979. Idaho State has hosted the event eight times. Idaho host last year's meet for the fourth time. Northern Arizona has hosted on three occasions. Weber State's only Big Sky indoor title came in 1979.
