Utah Valley State College is offering night classes in public administration to accommodate those who work full time.
The Public Administration Certificate consists of six classes, offered on a rotating schedule during fall and spring semesters. If students take two classes a semester, they will complete the certificate in 18 months (three semes-ters). The courses are taught by professionals in such areas as personnel, finance and accounting.Ian Wilson, UVSC dean of business, said most students, with the knowledge of their employers, are taking the courses to develop management skills and further their career opportunities.
"I think it's an indication of the college's willingness and ability to develop education programs that meet community needs and provide programs that will help the employee in the business community," Wilson said.
