A 17-year-old Salt Lake teenager picking up a take-out order at a restaurant was grazed by a bullet in what police call an unprovoked, drive-by shooting.
He was not seriously injured, police say.Salt Lake Police Lt. Steve Diamond said the teen was grazed near the forehead by a shot from an unknown assailant at 8:57 p.m. He and two other youths were picking up food from La Frontera Cafe, 1236 W. 400 South. The teen was treated for minor injuries, Diamond said.
Talk of a snowball fight before the shooting was speculative, Diamond said. As many as seven shots were fired into a car the three youths were near on Concord Street (1250 West), and one shot grazed the victim.
