He was called home to his Heavenly Father on February 6, 1996; he died of natural causes.

Born April 14, 1907 in Lahr, Germany to Emil Wilhelm Krug and Sofie Behringer. Married Theresia Magdalena Kuenstle on February 23, 1929. They immigrated to the United States in 1955 from Basel, Switzerland. He worked for Salt Lake City Corp. and Coca Cola. Active member of the LDS Church. He was a temple worker for many years. He was also a dedicated home teacher, and worked for the Bishop's Storehouse for many years. He was a good neighbor and friend. He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing and was a good cook. He and his wife cared for their garden and yard and won a beautification award.He is survived by his four children: Paul Krug (Heidi); Anneliese Franke; Hannelore Groth (Siegfried), all of Salt Lake City; Emma Saegesser (Ernst) of Basel, Switzerland; sister, Hedwig Thuerkauf, Basel, Switzerland; brother, Otto Krug (Martha) of Freiburg, Germany; very special friends, Scott, Rosie Doe; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Hans; brother, Alfred; granddaughters, Michele Krug and Thea Saegesser; son-in-law, Walter Franke; brother-in-law, Walter Thuerkauf.

Graveside services were held at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 So.
