The Justice Department has awarded Utah $442,318 to help jail criminal illegal aliens.

The money comes from the new State Criminal Alien Assistance Program and is designed to help handle the 38,000 aliens living in the nation illegally who are felons."With our state resources being pulled in so many different directions, the federal government is trying to help combat two growing national problems - crime and illegal immigration," said Rep. Bill Orton, D-Utah, who announced the grant.
