Cole Hauser, who plays a cop on TV, faces criminal charges himself for allegedly impersonating a police officer and snatching a $10 bill from a parking attendant in Los Angeles.

Hauser, who plays a rookie officer on the new ABC-TV drama "High Incident," was charged with felony grand theft after the incident outside the popular deli-restaurant, Canter's.Hauser's attorney disputed the charge.

"He and the parking lot attendant had words, but there was no theft," Mike Nasatir said. "This guy is innocent of everything except having an argument with a parking lot attendant."

Hauser, 20, is the grandson of former Los Angeles Police Commissioner Stanley Sheinbaum, according to a police report.

The actor was arrested at his home and booked for investigation of robbery.
