After losing the Trial of the Century, prosecutor Marcia Clark did more than just cash in; she also landed a rock 'n' roller.
Clark, 42, is taking six months off to write her book (for $4.2 million) and make speeches (for up to $22,000 each) about the O.J. Simpson murder trial. But when she's not working, there's time for love.Rumors about a steamy relationship with fellow prosecutor Chris Darden remain unconfirmed, but there's no question her new flame is Mitch Kashmar, the hunky lead singer of a California band, the Pontiax.
Seven years her junior, Kashmar says Clark may be stern in court, but she's a lot of fun when she lets her hair down.
"The lady does not look down on you," Kashmar told People magazine for its March 18 issue. "She looks you right in the eye."
Kashmar lives in Santa Barbara and Clark lives in suburban Los Angeles, so they take turns visiting each other on weekends. Their typical date? Relaxing at home over cocktails and watching videos.
Kashmar also is teaching Clark to play piano.
