Harry Wong Louie, 74, restaurateur who owned and operated the King Joy Cafe for more than 44 years, died March 9, 1996, at his Salt Lake home of diabetes and other complications.

He was born in Ogden, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and became the owner in 1947 of the Salt Lake restaurant.Mr. Louie was president of the Utah Chapter, Food Services Executive Association and a member of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors. He was a long-time supporter of the University of Utah athletic program.

Funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 E. 100 South, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
